Terms

MetaChapel is an independent project, not a church or charity. Your support keeps the site running.

Using MetaChapel

MetaChapel is free to visit. Praying and lighting the standard candle always stay free. Please be kind and respectful; the chapel is a calm place for people of many backgrounds.

Optional digital items

The chapel shop offers optional digital items: a tall 7-day candle, a golden candle, a prayer card and a golden ribbon. Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Items appear in the chapel right after payment. Candles and ribbons are symbolic and fade after the time shown (7 days for the tall candle, 24 hours for others). They are saved on the device you used.

Support

“Keep the candles lit” payments are voluntary support for running MetaChapel (servers and development). They are not charitable gifts and are not tax-deductible.

Refunds

If something went wrong with a purchase, for example the item did not appear, email us within 14 days at hello@metachapel.com with your PayPal receipt and we will make it right or refund you. Your rights under the law where you live are not affected.

Bible art

Bible art prints shown in the chapel shop are sold on Etsy by BroadStrokeStudio. Purchases there are covered by Etsy’s terms.

Art and music

The ceiling painting is The Triumph of the Name of Jesus by Giovanni Battista Gaulli (1676–79), photo by Jean-Christophe Benoist, CC BY 2.5, via Wikimedia Commons. Hymn tunes are public domain and played live in your browser. Bible verses are from the King James Version.
